Studio with bikesRhythm Fit, a vibrant new 2,000-square-foot boutique fitness studio, has opened its doors in Traverse City, offering a full roster of personal training, group fitness, rhythm cycling, cardio dance classes and more.

Rhythm Fit is the brainchild of former professional dancer, mobility expert and certified personal trainer Emily Fine, who is no stranger to the Traverse City dance and fitness scene. Indeed, Fine already has a faithful following, including many who experienced the joy of movement at her previous business, Soul Step Dance Studio as well as her many yoga and mobility classes around town. Now Fine is at it again with the launch of a bright new facility that reflects her fun, unique, everyone-is-welcome energy.

“Our workouts are designed to create a strong, resilient body,” she explains. “The goal isn’t to lose weight or look hot in a bikini; it’s more about changing your mindset and establishing a healthy lifestyle with consistent workouts. It’s about having fun and falling in love with your fitness journey.

Studio without bikesThe signature Rhythm Fit 45-minute TRAIN classes incorporates strength training and functional fitness exercises using dumbbells and other resistance equipment. Fine says the goal is to “improve range of motion, build resilience, power, and overall freedom in your body.” The Rhythm Cycling classes feel more like a party than a workout, with flashing lights and loud music, and are designed to improve cardiovascular endurance.

She believes our bodies thrive on “movement diversity,” which includes a blend of cardio, resistance training, mobility, and flexibility activities. With that said, Fine and her fellow Rhythm Fit instructors are eager to adapt and modify every workout to suit each person’s individual needs.
